Family History: Hermione's parents met in university, while both were studying to be dentists. They married after their degrees were completed, as was the proper thing to do, setting up shop in a joint practice not long after. Both fond of the theatre, and classical literature, they joined an amateur theatre group not long after.

It was at this point that Claire fell pregnant with Hermione, choosing to name her after the role she missed due to her swollen belly and swollen ankles. As much as she loved her daughter when she was born, Claire and Darren decided that they would have no more children -- their lives were too busy as it was.

Hermione was a bright child, although not popular at school, being too fond of things being 'right'. She would spend most of her time after school at the kitchen counter, studying and waiting for her parents to get home from work to tell her about their days; doubly so during school holidays.

It was here that she first found out about Hogwarts, a prim, stern lady claiming to be from the Ministry of Magic arriving unexpectedly and unexplainedly in her kitchen. Hermione refused to talk to her until her parents were contacted, having being told quite firmly that she was not to talk to strangers.

Personal History:

Arrived at Hogwarts at eleven. Helped save the world a few times.

When the 'war' was declared finished, Hermione returned to Hogwarts to finish her final year, and thus give herself a better chance of obtaining the job she wanted. Due to the combination of her studying and her experience, she sailed through her NEWTS achieving nearly perfect parks in all the ones she chose to take -- the previous year's excitement convinced her that she didn't need to have all of them.

She started work at the Ministry of Magic (Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures) soon after, joining the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, hoping to be able to make a difference, however small, to the beings it oversaw. She hopes that she might one day be able to steer that it closer to 'Department for the Support and Welfare of Magical Creatures'.

Has been dating Ron Weasley since 1998.
